Objective : Our study aims to increase occupational therapists' awareness of the health and welfare policies and support systems of older adults.
Methods : This study classified policies and support systems for older adults into lifestyle areas. Gilbert and Terrell's social welfare policy analysis framework was used to summarize it by allocation system, benefits system, delivery system, and financial system.
Results : There were three health and welfare policies and support systems suitable for older adults' lifestyle areas. Physical activity included health education of customized care services for older adults. In the activity participation, customized care services for older adults, jobs for older adults and social activity support, and government-sponsored elderly volunteer program were contained. Eating habits included nutrition education of customized care services for older adults.
Conclusion : The government's health and welfare policies and support systems for older adults were concentrated on activity participation compared to physical activity and eating habits. In particular, various policies and systems related to economic participation were established, and this showed that the government was making efforts to improve the
economic situation of older adults.
